If you are using a Unisteer steering rack, and our drop spindles, you will need one of these tie rod kits.

The steering arm on our drop spindles are 1" further outboards per side of the car.  This reduces bump steer and quickens steering. The Unisteer racks are made for stock spindles, so the supplied tie rods are not long enough to reach the drop spindles steering arm. This longer kit enables the tie rod assemblies to reach the spindle and ensure a safe amount of thread engagment.

How to identify the rack you have:

New Style:
Unisteer switched to a swedged on black tube at the inner tie rod end.  This tube is NOT removeable and the entire inner tie rod and tube need to be replaced to use the drop spindles.

New style rack tie rod kit includes:

• 2 Custom inner tie rods to connect to the Unisteer center take off bar
• 2 Custom made adjusting sleeves
• 2 SOT-ES387R outer tie rod ends

Old Style:
The old style racks used inner tie rods and a female outer tie rod. We have longer inner tie rods custom made so you can use this kit with our drop spindles.

Old style rack tie rod kit includes:

• 2 Custom inner tie rods to connect to the Unisteer center take off bar
• 2  Female outer tie rod ends
