Street or Track 3-Link Ready 9" Rear End
We build these heavy duty 9" housings from scratch for your build. They come with either stock leaf spring saddles or our 3-Link brackets fixture installed. We then straighten the housing and powder coat. Includes a heavy duty set of 31 spline axles with bearings and wheel studs.
If using leaf springs and our Watts Link, we can install the drivers side Watts Link bracket during the build.
When adding our 3-Link system to your car, you can skip the positioning and welding of the brackets on your rear end and let us do it for you! Simply remove from the box and start connecting the 3-Link to it.
Widths shown are from wheel mounting surface to wheel mounting surface. All SOT rear disc brake kits have .18" thick rotors.
We can add almost any dimension to the width, we can deduct up to 1" per side. Custom width housings are non-returnable.
Brand new, custom built 9" rear end housing with either stock leaf spring saddles or SOT 3-Link mounts installed.

- 100% brand new 3" tube housing with CNC machined Small, Torino or Early Big bearing ends.
- 3-Link mounts are fixtured and weld in the correct spot.
- We add our usual fill, level and drain bungs.
- -6AN fitting for the vent.
- Stud welded to the drivers side tube for convenient mounting of our Intermediate Brake Hose.
- Brake line tab welded to the passenger side tube for convenient brake line routing.
- After all the welding the housing is straightened - a critical step often overlooked.
- Powder coated gloss black.
- Strange 31 spline heavy duty axles with bearings installed, wheel studs and seals.
- Standard rotor registration is 3.06”, 2.50 axle offset. If you need different dimensions please let us know.
Front trailing arm mount options:
Leaf spring hole
Quickly and easily install the trailing arms into the stock forward leaf spring mount. Perfect for those looking for the simplest install while still benefiting from excellent geometry and no wheel hop. Housing end trailing arm brackets will be installed onto the housing at 43" on center.
Frame rail mount
Lowers and lengthens the trailing arms which improves the Side View Swing Angle by 51% - reducing pinion angle change during suspension travel. Requires welding brackets to chassis. We can install the housing end trailing arm brackets at 3 different locations:
- 43" On center - Choose this option for non-mini tubbed cars with stock wheel arches.
- 40" On center - Choose this option for mini-tubbed cars with wheel arch moved to the stock frame rail.
- 38" On center - Choose this option for mini-tubbed cars with wheel arch & frame rail moved inboard (DSE etc.). Note - Watts Link frame will need to be modified to fit the new location of the frame rails.
Use our Frame Connectors or our 3-Link Frame Rail Fixture to enable easy bracket placement.

System is shipped ready to install. Simply install the axles, run brake lines, add your center section, fill with fluid and its ready to run! All systems are built to your specifications, please allow approximately 6-8 weeks build time.
